Born 1890 and baptised 25/05/1890 at Isham. One of twelve children; ten surviving at the 1911 census. Son of James Andrew and Georgina Annie Andrew of Isham, Northants. In 1911 he was working as a grocer’s assistant. He rang his first peal, Plain Bob Minor, at Isham on 26/12/1907; this was the first peal by all the band except the conductor, Edward Chapman from Kettering. His first peal as Conductor was rung at Isham on 24/07/1910. Born: Isham, Northants. Enlisted: Coventry. Resided (1911 Census): Isham, but in 1913 he moved to the Coventry area.
